Description
Malthouse Farm and the attached cottage are a farmhouse and cottage built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed of red brick, with the cottage partly rendered, and feature a tiled roof with verge parapets. There is an end stack to the right and a ridge stack at the division between the two units. The structure is two stories high and has a four-window front with casement windows. The right-hand unit has painted wedged heads above the windows. There are entrances at the left end and one inset window from the right, both featuring open pediments on consoles, moulded surrounds, and six-panelled doors. A long, low agricultural addition is attached to the left end but is not included in the listing. The property is prominently situated in the center of the village.
