Description
This barn, located approximately 50 metres south of Summerhill Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed, roughly dressed and squared stone typical of the 17th century, and features a tiled roof with a chamfered eaves band. The barn has a two-level layout, with a hay loft above cow sheds. The hay loft door is positioned to the left, above two boarded doors that are both left of centre, and there is a small opening to the right, which formerly had a casement window. There is a lower addition at the left end and a mid-19th century small pane casement window set in the right gable. Summerhill Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
