Description
Dixons and the adjoining range of outbuildings to the north-east of Swynnerton Hall date from the 18th and early 19th centuries, with later alterations. The buildings are constructed of red brick and feature tile roofs. This varied range extends from the north-east side of Swynnerton Hall and presents an attractive frontage to the churchyard. The structure includes two-storey and single-storey sections. The right-hand wing has renewed casements and adjoins a single-storey range that features pitching-eyes and a segmental-headed carriage arch leading to the yard, along with a rear wing. There is also an 18th-century brick octagonal garden house with stone quoins and a pyramidal roof topped with a ball-head finial. To the left, there is a barn with pitching-eyes and honey-comb brickwork in part, with the left-hand side now converted into a dwelling known as Dixons. Additionally, there is a return wing on the left side that includes a three-storeyed corner bay, which was formerly a dovecote. To the left of the yard gateway, a single-storey stone barn has had its south side altered in brick.
