Description

The Cottage is a building that likely dates from the late 16th century and is a fine example of the vernacular architecture of that time. It features a timber frame with stone and brick elements, topped by a tiled roof and a central brick chimney set on a stone base. The structure has two storeys and a two-window front, with casement windows, some of which have leaded lights. There is a two-storey porch, although the outer entrance has been built up. Inside, the cottage boasts exposed ceiling beams and two stone fireplaces, each with cambered heads.
