Description
Bank House Public House is a building dating from around the 17th century, originally timber framed but significantly remodeled and enlarged in brick, which is now painted white, during the 18th century. It features a tiled roof with gabled ends and a brick dentil eaves course. The building has two storeys and a four-window range. On the first floor, there are three three-light casement windows with glazed bars. To the centre right, there are two-storey canted bay windows, also complete with glazing bars.
The ground floor has a left and central porch that was added later in brick, matching the style of the casement windows and featuring a gable over the doorway. The building includes brick end and ridge stacks, and the wall timber-framing is exposed internally.
