Description
7 and 9 Station Road are two houses, now used as offices, built around 1830. They are constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and feature a tile roof with a brick cross-axial stack. The buildings rise to three storeys and have a two-window range with boxed eaves. The round-headed entrances at each end are adorned with archivolts that have keys and fanlights featuring radial glazing bars above six-panel doors with canted angles to the panels. The windows have sills and wedge lintels; however, the left ground floor window has a segmental head and a plate glass window with top opening lights. The right ground floor window and those on the first floor have 16-pane sashes, while the second floor has casements that may have replaced 8-pane sashes. These buildings are included for their group value.
