Description
Greenfields is a house located on Garden Street in Stafford, dating from around 1830. It is built of stuccoed brick and features a hipped slate roof. The house has a double-depth, central staircase plan and is designed in the Regency style. It stands two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window range with wide eaves. The entrance includes a small-paned half-glazed door and a porch supported by Doric columns, topped with a Tuscan entablature and an enriched wrought-iron balcony. The windows are fitted with sills and 16-pane sashes. On the right side, there is a late 19th-century canted bay window. At the rear, there is a single-storey service wing and lateral stacks, with varied fenestration, mostly consisting of 4-pane sashes. Inside, the house features an open-well stick-baluster staircase with a wreathed handrail, window shutters, and a flagged hall floor.
