Description

Hardwick Farmhouse is a 17th-century building, with a core that likely dates back to the 16th century. It has later additions and alterations. The farmhouse features an irregular plan, with the main block on the left made of red brick and some stone quoins. It stands two storeys plus an attic and has three gables, with a recessed bay in the centre. The windows consist of four sets of stone mullioned casement windows on the ground floor and three above, repeated on both levels. The entrance has a moulded wood doorcase and a modern wood gabled porch, with plain eaves tiles. Inside, there are exposed ceiling beams, and the right-hand wing includes some exposed timber-framing.
