Description
Park Lane Cottages, originally known as the Old School House, dates to the 17th century but has undergone significant alterations and restoration, and is now divided into two dwellings. Some exposed timber framing is visible on the east side, resting on a stone base. The front of the building, facing the road, is constructed of red brick. It is two storeys high, featuring a projecting gabled bay on the right-hand side. There are two early 19th century and two modern casement windows. A renewed, plain doorway is located on the left, with a ledged door. A wood pilaster doorcase, featuring a sill cornice hood and a modern door, is present on the right. The building has plain eaves and a tiled roof. A later 19th century, single-storey wing extends from the left side. A projecting wing is visible at the rear.
