Description
Nos 17 to 21 on High Street in Eccleshall are late 18th century buildings, with the core likely dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. They are constructed of red brick and feature a projecting central bay topped with a pediment and a bulls-eye opening. The buildings rise two storeys plus an attic and have five sash windows with single glazing bars, plain lintels, and projecting keyblocks. The gables at the sides are coped, and there are moulded brick eaves beneath a tiled roof. No 17 includes a late 19th century canted bay window, while No 21 has a 19th century shop front with modern glazing. The central doorway is framed by a plain stuccoed surround with a cornice hood and a heavy oak batten door. Inside, some ceiling beams are exposed.
