Description
The gate piers and gates adjacent to the lodge of Stretton Hall were built in the mid-19th century. They feature rusticated ashlar piers that are approximately 1.8 meters high and square in shape, topped with a moulded cornice and ball finials. The timber gates are heavily studded and have a concave arch top rail. These gates and piers are part of a group that includes the lodge and bridge, which were all created during the extensive mid-19th century alterations and landscaping of Stretton Hall.
