Description

This building comprises an orangery and stables, dating to the 18th century, with 20th-century alterations. The structures are located approximately 100 yards northwest of Patshull Park. Constructed of red brick on a sandstone plinth, the buildings are arranged around a rectangular courtyard, comprising four ranges.

The orangery is a single-story structure with an attic, and has a 3-3-3 bay facade. The central block is slightly lower than the flanking wings. It features three large, segmental-headed arches with glass panels on each wing, and a similar arch in the centre of the main block, flanked by a panelled door to the left and a glass-panelled door to the right. The roof has semi-circular dormers with radiating glazing bars.

The two-story stable block is characterised by walls with irregularly placed casement windows of varying sizes, with five having segmental heads on the right side. There is a large double-leaved door on the left side, a similar blocked arch on the right side, and a glass-panelled door at the far left. Air vents are also present in the walls.
