Triumphal entry to forecourt of Patshull Hall and flanking screen walls.

Triumphal entry and flanking screen walls. c1750. By James Gibbs. Sandstone ashlar; hipped slate roof behind parapet with ball ornaments; brick ridge stacks. 2 storeys; 4 windows; glazing bar sashes, those on ground floor with sill band; central, pedimented carriageway with cupola; round headed arch with Gibbs surround flanked by paired Tuscan pilasters linked to outer angle pilasters by a moulded frieze; pediment surmounted by an urn; clock within tympanum; niches either side of arch containing C17 demi statues of Cavaliers. Flanking screen walls to main building with blind windows and sill band, capped by ball ornaments. Formerly included in list entry for Patshull Hall (q.v.)
