Description

The Tithe Barn is a barn and stables dating from the late 17th century. It features weatherboarded timber framing with some brick infill and has a plain tile roof. The building is one storey high and consists of five framed bays, with central full-height barn doors. The exposed framing is one square panel in height below the weatherboarding. Inside, the cross-frames have straight braces and long straight tension braces, while the roof trusses consist of collar and tie beams with raking struts extending from the tie beams to the principal rafters, supported by two pairs of purlins. The end bay at the west contains a stable with two stalls and a tack room.
