Description

Swarbourne House is a 17th century detached house that has undergone later alterations. It is constructed with a combination of timber framing and brick, topped with a tiled roof. The house is two stories high and has an irregular plan with three bays. It features three casement windows and a moulded wood pilaster doorcase that includes panelled reveals, a fanlight, and a pediment. The sides of the house display exposed timber framing, while the south side has a large brick chimney and an altered wing at the rear. Inside, some timber framing and ceiling beams are also exposed.
