The Thomas Pickering Memorial and its railings are located approximately 6 yards south of the west tower of the Church of St. Peter in Marchington. This memorial consists of a double slab tomb commemorating Thomas Pickering, who died in 1834. It is surrounded by wrought iron railings that enclose a square area, featuring two ashlar slabs with moulded edges.
