Description
The building is a former stable located approximately 50 yards northeast of Okeover Hall, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped clay tile roof in a classical style. The stable is two storeys high and has a plat band, sill band, and a moulded eaves cornice. The facade consists of three bays on each floor, with glazing bar sashes that have cornices and raised surrounds. There is a central pedimented break that includes a rusticated arcaded loggia on the ground floor, while the first floor displays a tetrastyle arrangement with shallow pilasters supporting the pediment. On either side of the central break, there are pedimented six-panelled doors. The interior has been altered.
