Description
The carriage arch, located 10 meters to the west of the entrance front to Dunstall Hall, is an early 19th-century coach arch. It features rusticated, chisel-draughted ashlar stone with moulded dressings. The arch is a single semi-circular shape set on a plinth, with a moulded intrados and a fluted keystone supported by fluted impost bands. Above the arch, there is a dentilled cornice leading to a break-fronted moulded pediment. This break is continued below the dentils, running out diagonally to the ends. The arch is adorned with ball finials at the corners and a rusticated plaque within the tympanum.
