Description

The Church of St Chad is a Grade I listed building completed in 1910, originally designed by architect G. F. Bodley and finished by Cecil Hare after Bodley's death. This church is noted for its Decorated Gothic style and is constructed of stone. It features a nave and aisles, a chancel, a south chapel, a polygonal vestry, and a detached north-west tower that is connected to the main church by a vaulted passage from the north aisle. A fine reredos designed by Bodley is located in the north chapel.
