Description

Lee Dingle Bridge was built in 1872. It is a high-level iron lattice girder bridge supported by two large blue engineering brick piers that are tapered with parallel sides, bases, and capitals. At each end, the abutments feature cast-iron parapets. The bridge was constructed to connect Meadowpit Colliery via Baggaleys Wind, which is an incline, to the Blists Hill Ironworks.
