Description

The Library House is a mid-19th century building in Ironbridge, with a probable 18th-century core. It is located on the Severn Bank. The front of the building was refaced using brickwork in the mid-19th century. The building is three storeys high and features two sash windows with stone lintels and hood moulds on the front elevation. A gabled wing projects on the right-hand side, with a rectangular stone-framed bay window on the ground storey. A restored wood doorcase, featuring panelled reveals and a pedimental hood, is prominent. The building has plain eaves and a slate roof.
