Description
The Old Rectory is a 16th century timber-framed house that has been completely faced in brick, which was painted in the 18th or 19th century and refashioned in the late 19th century. It features a tile roof with gabled ends and stands two storeys tall, comprising three bays with left and right gabled sections that are slightly advanced. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and there is a central doorway adorned with fluted pilasters, an entablature, and a panelled door. The building includes string courses. Inside, the north-east wing and the center reveal exposed timber framing, along with stepped chamfered ceiling beams. There is an early 18th century staircase featuring turned balusters, a square newel, and a moulded rail and string.
