Description

Commerce Works is a former pottery works built in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and features plain tiled roofs, arranged around a courtyard. The entrance range is three storeys high and consists of four bays, with a doorway and a central archway at the rear. It has wide windows that have flat-arched heads and hood moulds. At the back, there is a long three-storeyed range that may be slightly older and contains two updraught kilns housed in circular hovels, alongside an adjacent square section chimney.
