Description

Coates Farm House is probably from the early 18th century. It is built of stone and has a roof made of old tiles with brick stacks at each end. The house has two storeys and features three six-light wood mullioned transomed windows, which are fitted with casements and leaded lights. The entrance has a plain doorcase with a later cornice hood and a six-panel door. There are also two gabled dormers. To the right side, there is a single-storeyed wing. Inside, the house has beamed ceilings, panelling, and a good staircase. The property has been long unoccupied.
