Description

Pengwern House is a mid-19th century house situated on the north west side of New Street, Shrewsbury. It is a two-storey, three-window range building constructed of brick with a Welsh slate roof. The house features a central four-panelled door with an overlight, set within an architrave that has heavy console brackets supporting an entablature. Flanking the door are canted bay windows. The upper windows are twelve-pane sashes with flat-arched stuccoed heads. The building has plain oversailing eaves and gable and rear wall stacks. The property is included on the list for its group value.
