Description

No. 2 Bullring is a house that has been converted into a restaurant, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has a painted wooden fascia. There is an integral brick end stack on the left side. On the second floor, there is a pair of sixteen-pane sash windows with stone cills and gauged-brick heads. The first floor has a central tripartite sash window with 24 panes, also with a stone cill, and is framed by a wooden surround that includes panelled pilasters, a frieze, and a moulded cornice. The shop front, added in the late 20th century, includes a half-glazed door on the left and a passageway on the right. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
