Description

No 1 on High Street is a building from the 18th century, with parts likely dating back to the 16th century. It features a combination of painted brick and stone rubble at the rear, and it stands two storeys tall. The facade includes three sash windows and a plain doorway. There is a shallow bay window from the 19th century that has modern glazing, along with a decorative band and plain eaves topped with old tiles. Above the doorway, there is a small tablet displaying initials and the date 1727. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 6, which are consecutive.
