Description

No. 8 St John's Hill is an early 17th-century building that has been refronted in the early 19th century. It features a brick exterior that covers an earlier timber frame and stands three storeys tall. The facade includes two sash windows and a wooden doorcase topped with a simple pedimental weatherhood, leading to a six-panelled door. The building has corbelled eaves and a slate roof. Inside, the interior remains largely unchanged, showcasing much exposed timber-framing and a plain staircase.
