Description

Howells Memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 8 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Eata. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a moulded plinth, raised and fielded panels with beading, and fluted pilasters on the sides. It has a moulded cornice and a chamfered top. The memorial commemorates Ann Howells, who died on July 12, 1800, Luke Howells, who died on January 16, 1825, and their daughter Mary, who died in infancy.
