Description
Bradley Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick with a slate roof, designed in an L-plan. It stands three storeys high and features a raised eaves band and integral brick end stacks. The facade consists of three bays with a central break, showcasing 16-pane glazing bar sash windows that have painted stone cills and lintels. The central first-floor window is set in a gauged-brick round-arched recess, while the second-floor windows have had their glazing bars removed. The central entrance boasts a six-panelled door, where the lower two panels are flush and the top four are raised and fielded. This door is flanked by panelled pilaster strips, has an impost band, and is topped with a depressed radial fanlight. The doorcase is adorned with unfluted three-quarter Doric columns, a frieze, and a triangular pediment. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing featuring a dentil brick eaves cornice, a brick ridge stack, and an integral brick end stack. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to have panelled internal window shutters.
