Description

The Church of All Saints in Claverley is a Grade I listed building. It features four Norman arches on the north side of the nave and the base of the tower, which are remnants of the original church built by Robert de Montgomery. The south aisle, chancel, and chapels are designed in the Decorated and Perpendicular styles, while the upper part of the tower dates from the 15th century. Inside, there are notable wall paintings from around 1200, a fine Norman font, and incised slabs commemorating Richard Spicer (1448) and his wife, as well as members of the Gatacre family. Additionally, there is an alabaster tomb with effigies of Robert Brook (1558) and his two wives.
