Description
Nos 5 and 6 Waterloo Terrace are early 18th-century buildings made of red brick with stone dressings. They stand four storeys tall and feature two sash windows, which generally have glazing bars. These windows are adorned with plain lintels, channelled or enriched keyblocks, fluted sill aprons on the lower levels, and voluted and enriched sills on the third storey. The buildings have side pilasters that are rusticated at the ground floor and a heavy dentilled stone modillion cornice. The top storey is faced with cement, and there is a parapet with plain stone coping. A modern shop front has been added, but the facade remains ornate and interesting, making it unusual for the area. Nos 1 to 8 Waterloo Terrace form a group.
