Description

The Chapel at Aldenham Park is a small domestic chapel dedicated to St Mary, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone and is single-storeyed. The facade features a pediment with paterae in the frieze and is supported by four Ionic pilasters. There is a large door with six fielded panels and studs. The chapel has two casement windows, each set in a semicircular recess that encloses a carving of a winged figure head, and there are steps leading up to the entrance. Currently, only the facade and the front portion of the building remain.
