Description

The garden wall adjoining The Old Rectory to the north is an early 19th-century structure made of squared and coursed red sandstone. It has an L-plan shape with rounded corners, measuring approximately 60 metres in length and 3 metres in height. The wall features pilaster buttresses and two large buttresses at the north-east end. There is a door in the wall at the south end near The Old Rectory. This wall serves as an important visual link in the village between The Old Rectory and No. 27, contributing to a sense of enclosure. It is included for its group value.
