Description

Chesterton Farm House is an early 18th-century farmhouse. It is constructed of red brick with a stone plinth and a brick band. The building is two storeys high, and has a window arrangement of 2 windows plus 3 windows plus 2 windows across the front facade. The central portion of the facade is recessed. The windows are wooden mullioned and transomed casement windows with restored lattice glazing. A central panelled door is accessed by a flight of three round steps, and is sheltered by a pedimented hood. The roof is tiled and hipped, with a coved plaster eaves cornice and bracketed guttering. Chesterton Farm House is part of a group that includes the Summerhouse at Chesterton Farm, No 28, and Marindin House.
