Description
Marindin House is a building mainly from the 16th century and late 18th century. It has an irregular, L-shaped plan and is constructed of timber framing and brick, topped with a tiled roof and brick stacks. The house has two storeys plus an attic and features sash and casement windows. The front has three windows and a plain brick parapet, along with a Doric pillared porch that includes a fanlight. Inside, there is a notable fireplace in the Adam style located in the drawing room, while the dining room boasts a moulded plaster ceiling. One of the rooms features a fine moulded timber ceiling and an open fireplace dating from the Tudor period. Marindin House, along with Chesterton Farm House and the Summerhouse at Chesterton Farm, forms a group of buildings.
