Description
Daniels Mill and Millhouse likely dates to the late 18th century, built on the site of a preceding corn mill. The mill house is a one-story building with a basement, featuring an advanced gabled wing on the right and two later windows. The mill itself is an attached wing built on sloping ground to the rear, rising to four shallow stories. It includes a pointed-arched window with Gothick glazing bars and smaller openings at various levels. A large mill wheel, 39 feet in diameter and constructed around 1855 by Darby at Coalbrookdale from cast and wrought-iron, is located on the north side; it may be the last of its kind to survive. The mill machinery, which operated until 1957, is currently being restored by the owner.
