Description

The Firs is a 17th-century house and later additions, situated on the north side of Old Road in Bromyard. Originally a rubble house, it was later refronted with red brick. The main structure is two storeys and has an attic. The front elevation incorporates a parapet and central pediment with a moulded cornice and a lunette window positioned centrally, with wooden pilasters extending down to the ground from each end of the pediment. A band separates the ground and first floors. Three sash windows with modern glazing are present, alongside a central door. A rear wing is constructed of rubble. At the end of this wing, and running parallel to the main front facade, is a stone rubble building with two gables, possibly representing the original house.
