Description
The Malt House is an early 19th century house constructed of red brick. It features a slate hipped roof with wide eaves and stands three storeys high. The facade includes three sash windows with glazing bars, which are topped with stuccoed window heads that have keyblocks. The central doorway is adorned with a semi-circular fanlight featuring curved glazing bars, a modern glazed door, and a wrought iron porch with a tent-shaped zinc roof. There is a later wing, likely added in the early 20th century, to the right of the main structure, which has two projecting gabled windows with similar sashes. The Malt House is part of a group with the buildings immediately adjoining to the north, including Northleigh and Homend Lodge.
