Description
The Pritchard Memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 2 meters south of the nave of the Church of St Michael. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed from sandstone ashlar with cast iron railings. The tomb has a rectangular plan featuring a moulded plinth and capping, topped with a swagged urn finial. Below the capping is a band of acanthus, and balusters flank an oval inscription panel that has a swagged surround. The plain rails are supported by urns on the standards. This memorial commemorates Thomas Pritchard, who died in 1811, as well as other members of the Pritchard family.
