Description

The Nash Monument, located about 3 yards north-west of the west porch of the former Church of St John the Baptist, is a chest tomb dating from around 1831. It is dedicated to Thomas Nash and is constructed from sandstone ashlar. The monument is aligned north to south and features a moulded base with a hipped stepped moulded capping. It has wide moulded corner balusters and side panels with quadrant corners at the margins, as well as rectangular end panels. An inscription panel is located on the south side.
