Description

Number 17 on Broad Street is a building from the 18th century that has been altered. It stands three storeys high with an attic, constructed of red brick and topped with a slate roof. The building features a wide cornice adorned with modillions and rusticated quoins. There are four sash windows, each with three-fold keyblocks and projecting sills. Access to the door is via three steps, and the door itself includes a fanlight. To the right of the entrance is a modern shop window. This building is part of a group that includes No 11, The King Charles, Nos 1 to 18 (consecutive), 20 to 22 (consecutive), and The Eagle.
