Description
The Eagle is a building located on Broad Street, dating from the 18th century or later. It is constructed of stucco and features three storeys with colour-washed brick. The hipped slate roof has decorative dentils. The building has three sash windows, with the top floor windows being wide and low. There are bands between the floors, and the entrance door is set in splayed reveals with a dentilled fascia above. It is flanked by Tuscan pilasters on the outer side of the splays and small columns on the inner side. There is a wing at the rear. The Eagle is part of a group that includes No 11, The King Charles, Nos 15 to 18 (consecutive), and Nos 20 to 22 (consecutive).
