Description
The outbuilding adjoining Little Brampton Farmhouse is a structure of unknown original use, dated "Jonane Robinson hanc structura edificavit Ano Dom 1637". It is built from brick and dressed and squared sandstone on a sandstone rubble plinth, topped with a stone slate roof. A timber-framed section with weatherboard cladding connects this building to the farmhouse. The small rectangular building is aligned north-east/south-west, situated parallel to the house on its north-west side, and linked to the farmhouse by the timber-framed section extending from the south-west end. The stone wall on the north-west side features a blocked opening with remnants of a square-headed label next to a circular datestone that has an inscription in a wreathed surround. Additionally, there is a square-headed doorway in the brick gable end facing north-east and a square-headed opening with a ledged shutter in the gable.
