Description

The Former Railway Hotel is a building from the 17th century and later, located on Brookend Street. It has two storeys and dormers, constructed from colour-washed brick with a hipped slate roof and quoins. The front features three sash windows with modern glazing and three-fold keyblocks. The entrance has a door with a rounded head and a fanlight above it. At the rear, there are two wings, with the inner wing being timber framed. The gable end includes a blocked double window with pointed heads, flanked by lancets on either side.
