Description

This is a water pump located about 5 yards south of the gable of Stone House in Much Dewchurch. It was likely made in the mid-19th century. The pump features a cast iron shaft with a fluted finial and a decorative spout, along with a cranked handle. There is also a plaque with raised lettering that reads "UNIVERSAL LIFT PUMP PATENT." The pump is included for its group value.
