Description
Haye Park House is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with an extension added in the early 19th century and some repairs made in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with dressed quoins and features a slate roof. The building has an L-plan layout, with the 17th-century section located to the north and the 19th-century section to the east.
The south front of the house is two storeys high, with the gabled 17th-century range on the left, which includes a gable-lit attic. The first floor features a four-light window above a canted bay with a hipped slate roof. To the right, the 19th-century range has two glazing bar sash windows under timber lintels. On the ground floor, there is a four-light casement window under a segmental brick head to the right, and an entrance to the left that includes a four-pane overlight and a ledged and boarded door.
Inside, the house has corner fireplaces with bolection mouldings. The fireplace in the south room is reported to have a cast iron fire back inscribed with "1967/ RAS".
