Description
The cowshed range, located approximately 75 meters northwest of Seed Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with some 19th-century alterations. It is constructed from timber-frame, featuring some wattle and daub, and has red brick infill, particularly on the left end, while the rest is mostly weatherboarded. The building has a corrugated roof and a stone plinth. It consists of a 3-bay cowshed with a loft above and an additional bay that contains a threshing machine. There is a lower stone addition at the right end. The structure includes tie-beam trusses with curved under-principals and a double purlin roof with a ridge piece. The framing has been replaced by brick on the left end. This cowshed range is part of a group with Seed Farmhouse.
