Cowshed range approx 75m NW of Seed Farmhouse

II GV 2. Cowshed range. Late C17/early c18 with c19 alterations. Timber-frame with some wattle and daub and some red brick infill. Red brick on left end, otherwise mostly weatherboarded. Corrugated roof. Stone plinth. 3-bay cowshed with loft over and extra bay containing threshing machine. Lower stone addition on right end. Tie-beam trusses with curved under-principals and double purlin roof with ridge piece. Framing replaced by brick on left end. Forms part of a group with Seed Farmhouse (qv). (R C H M: Vol II: p62)
