Description
This sundial, located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Helena, dates from the 18th century with an early 19th-century alteration. It was made by J. Syson of London. The sundial is constructed from ashlar and copper. It features a moulded plinth that supports a tapering pedestal with a bulbous reeded base. The circular coping has a single projection and is topped with a copper sundial inscribed with "J. Syson, London." The projection also supports a later 19th-century gnomon.
