Description

This listing describes a group of 18th-century headstones located in the churchyard of the Church of St Luke, approximately 2 metres west of the Mann Tomb Chest. The headstones are made of slate.

The first headstone faces east and features a round-faced winged angel. It commemorates Margrett Morris, who died in 1723 at the age of 7. The back of this stone is inscribed in memory of Robert Morris, who died in 1752.

The second headstone faces west and is fairly plain, with a scrolled surround. It is dedicated to Hannah Brampton, who died in 1770.

The third headstone also faces west, is small and plain, and commemorates Joseph Brampton, who died in 1768.
